All of my life, I've loved to read and write. When I was about 10 years old, I penned my first story about a girl exploring the Amazon River. I read all the books in our tiny small town library and begged my mom to take me to the bigger library in the next town over.

| I wanted to be Trixie Belden and solve mysteries |
Books have had a great influence on my life and they have always kept me company when I was alone. Way back, before I had children, my biggest decision for the weekend was what book I was going to read.
When I went to college, I majored in history and English with the eye to writing historical fiction but, even though I graduated from college, I got sidetracked into other careers. It wasn't until I was in my early 50's that I got the chance to make my living by writing.
My first writing opportunity was with a small hometown newspaper in Oregon. From there, I progressed into freelance writing and blogging. Now, at age 62, I have come full circle and my goal is finally do what I started out wanting to pursue - writing fiction.
Ever since the Trixie Belden days, I've loved a good mystery so my first work of fiction is a paranormal mystery, which I plan to have finished by mid-2013.
Now, I know that the success of any book is due to a great marketing plan so I am hoping that all my years of promoting my blogs and affiliate programs will pay off when it comes to making my book a success as well.
I created this blog as my author's page but I have also done many book reviews over the years for my other blogs and websites and I would like to continue to review other author's works as well. My goal with this is to interact with readers and authors so we can exchange ideas and helpful hints.
Please feel free to comment or contact me anytime with ideas, a copy of your book for review or whatever strikes your fancy.
